Relaxation Therapy

There are many forms of relaxation therapy and the evidence of the benefits of relaxation are prolific. At IMI self-realization techniques are suggested and taught to suit the individual's preferences and lifestyles. Even a few minutes (4-5) of deep breathing in a specific pattern has been shown to increase lymphatic circulation some 3-5 times its normal flow.

Relaxation IS NOT using exercise to unwind, i.e. running, banging a ball against the wall, etc. are usually only perpetuating the underlying imbalance that created the need for relaxation in the first place.

Relaxation IS quiet time allowing the body and mind to be fully still, and recuperate as tensions accumulated during the day may be acknowledged and then released. After all, if we wind up a watch spring and never let it go, there is definitely an accumulated tension!
