Escharotic Therapy
Escharotic Therapy, also referred to as botanical surgery, is the use of a vitamin/herbal combination made into a paste or salve that is topically applied to treat cancerous lesions. The herbs most commonly used include bloodroot, goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis), chaparral (Larrea tridentata), cayenne (Capsicum frutescens) and red clover (Trifolium pratence). During a 2 – 4 week period, the paste causes the cancerous tissue to split and form a scab and then sloughs off leaving the normal healthy tissue behind.
At IMI we have found Escharotic therapy very successful in the treatment of cervical cancers.
Escharotic Therapy dates back to the 1850’s when Dr. J Weldon Fell and Frederic Mohs, MD of the US had successful cancer treatment programs that were based on escharotic therapy.
