Autonomic Reflex  Testing Using the MORA Screening Device (Electro-dermal Screening)

Autonomic Reflex Testing using the MORA screening device is a simple, non invasive, pain free diagnostic test which provides information about one’s nutritional, organ and meridian health. This simple yet complex diagnostic tool helps to gain insight into various health problems by detecting imbalances in Qi (chee), or life energy as understood in traditional Chinese and help your body achieve a state of balance.

The practitioner applies a small pen-like probe to acupuncture points, typically on the hands and feet, that are associated with a particular internal organ or system. A small current (less than 5 millivolts, 3 microamps) passes through the body and the resistance is measured.  The MORA screening device then interprets the body’s flow of electro-magnetic energy along these acupuncture meridians.  Abnormally high or low values may indicate inflammation, organ fatigue or organ degeneration. Based on the analysis, your practitioner will recommend appropriate treatments, typically supplements, diet changes or homeopathic remedies to return the body to a state of wellness.

Computerized systems such as the MORA, the Vegatest, and the Biotron, have been around since the 1950s when Dr. Voll and Dr. Werner of Germany found that the electrical conductivity of the skin increases dramatically at acupoints.  He theorized that each acupoint has a specific conductivity value for healthy people, and a lower than normal value indicated disharmony and imbalances in the body which may lead to an unhealthy state. ART is accepted and used widely in other countries such as Germany, France, England, Japan, Australia, and the US.
